Time for my annual gig count. This year came to 102, just two gigs shy from
last year. My last gig of 2015 was at Bray's Brew Pub with Woodja Woodja, and my first gig of 2016 will be at Bray's Brew Pub with Black Cat Road. Yeah for Bray's!
We drove down towards the city last night to celebrate New Year's Eve at our friend's Norm and Victoria's house. Paul and Deb were there, "Tailgate" Gary showed up for a while, Bonnie (aka Robyn) and Jeff (aka BluesJay) came by, too.. plus a few friends of Norm's and his nephew for a while. Don, Bonnie, Paul and I jammed for a while. We ate a lot of yummy foods. Around 10, Steve and Jessica showed up, and we jammed some more with them. So much fun. We retired at 3 a.m. and slept in a comfortable bed in a guest room, and in the morning, Norm and Vic whipped up a big breakfast of ham and eggs and toast and fruit. We were home before noon, and pretty much slugged it for the rest of the day. We've got a small chicken roasting in the oven now, and we will probably fall asleep the minute we clear our plates. Welcome to 2016.
